My son is now 6-1/2 weeks old and he is taking on little boy tendencies every day. Recently it has been a nasty, pungent gas coming from his diaper. I don't understand this. He is breastfed and his poop doesn't smell, but holy moly the odor that he expels with each fart is violently unappealing.
Which makes matters worse is that they are always really loud and you think that just by picking him up and moving him from the place he was just sitting would help, but no, it stays trapped in his diaper and follows him around like the plague.
So, even though I shower every day, I can't escape the gas that is seeped through his diaper warming my lap when I feed him or hold him on the couch, or the gas that passes right in my face as I'm carrying him, or when I lean over to kiss him as I put him to bed.
I fear there is more to come as he gets older. He is after all a little boy and will find it funny, unlike girls who will try and hide it as much as possible.

yea girls need to cut that i don't fart non-sense out :) Enjoy it and embrace it like us boys do.
Imagine the days when bones and mace will have farting contests...i know you are waiting with anticipation.
I have noticed my little boy is way more stinky than the girls so I think there is something to this. And with a 6 week old baby, the fact that you shower at all is impressive.
Well, you knew he was going to inherit some traits from his father.
