A Working Weekend

Well, that's what it was supposed to be. My grandfather, who lives in Allentown, PA, invited me up to spend the weekend with him, his wife, and my 11 year old half Aunt (I'll give you a second to figure that out). Can I move on? Ok.

They currently live in a house that they want to renovate and add on some square footage, so they flew me up to see the house, take measurements, and take photographs. This is what I figured I would be doing the entire weekend (from Saturday to Monday). Instead, this is what I got in between doing my work:

Saturday:

Sunday:

Not too shabby!

Your first time in the city, right?! What did you think??

Yes, and I loved it. It's not as intimidating as I thought it would be. Although, it was freezing! A day, as you know, isn't enough time to explore the entire city, but this was a nice introduction. Next time I go I'll be more familiar with it.
We had lunch at Tavern on the Green and drove around a lot, and of course went to the top of the Empire State Building.

You had lunch at Tavern on the Green?!! Whoa. Impressive.

Well, it's my grandfather's favorite restaurant in the city. The picture with me in front of the gorilla hedge is in their garden (the Tavern on the Green's garden, not my grandfather's).

My only sadness at looking at these photos is that there is not one of you in ice skates actually skating...
